Trained to gain the experience and knowledge needed to serve in the secondary education classroom. Coursework included Equity and Social Justice, Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Practice, Classroom Management Success, and more.
Earned a Bachelor of Science in Film with a second major in English and minors in Business Administration and Writing, graduating cum laude from Portland State University in 2024. My interdisciplinary studies combined film production, cinema history, screenwriting, literary analysis, creative writing, digital media, and business development, emphasizing research, storytelling, and collaborative creative production.

Trained in understanding all aspects of Comics and Graphic Novels. Coursework in International Graphic Novels, Writing Comics, Comic Publishing, and Comic Theory. Trained under successful comic creators Brian Michael Bendis, Matt Fraction, Ted Adams, and Michael Weingrad.
Received the honor of being the first team of students to study abroad at the Portland State Film School. Experienced Italy's historical sites firsthand, including sites and sets tied to key Italian filmmakers and film history.

Awards & Competitions
Contributed as an uncredited extra and provided production support for Seamus Coyle and Olivia Lee's "Harper's World", which received first place at Portland State University's 2022 Film Spring Showcase.
Served as Production Manager and Associate Producer for Dana Murphy and Ryan Hansen's "My Sweet Whiskey", which received third place at Portland State University's 2022 Film Spring Showcase. Responsibilities included budgeting, fundraising, crew coordination, actor payments, and creative production support.
Secured first place in Digital Video Production by creating a three-minute short film promoting charitable activities for Giving Tuesday, adhering to strict guidelines, and delivering a formal business presentation. Memorized a seven-minute script to strengthen the presentation.
Earned first place alongside teammate Max Masse at the Oregon Future Business Leaders of America State Business Leadership Conference. Collaboratively produced a thirty-second public service announcement promoting financial literacy and prepared a seven-minute presentation explaining the project's creative approach, development, and intended impact during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ranked among the top 10 in the Networking Concepts category during the Oregon Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Regional Exam, contributing valuable points to the Seaside Chapter of FBLA and supporting our chapter's achievement of the Honors Gold Champion Chapter Award for two consecutive years.
Recognized as Video Student of the Year for initiating and developing the video production program at Seaside High School. Advocated for an Intro to Video course and provided essential support, leading to multiple Business Leadership awards that funded various philanthropic ventures through FBLA involvement.

Research & Presentations
Presented Film History Digests, created through Digests Developments, at the OMPA Virtual Showcase and the TRIO Leadership Conference, promoting positivity and political awareness through in-depth film analysis.
Created and presented Film History Digests, a multimedia research project examining overlooked subjects in popular culture through film history, media analysis, and collaborative production. Presented the project at Portland State University's 2022 Student Research Symposium; the research presentation and supporting audiovisual materials are preserved in PDXScholar.
Community & Professional Contributions
Utilized professional photography equipment and editing software to produce compelling images that accurately represented the program and its participants.
Press & Media Recognition
Collaborated with Oregon Art Day founder Hayley Rollins and members of the Seaside High School FBLA chapter to promote arts education, creative expression, and community participation. Oregon Art Day was officially designated as a state observance in 2015 through House Bill 3042, establishing April 14 as Honorary Artists of Oregon Day. Our subsequent efforts supported the celebration's expansion across schools and communities along the Oregon Coast, earning coverage in the Cannon Beach Gazette / Coast Weekend.
Collaborated with the Seaside Signal to highlight the film's positive impact on the community, particularly during challenging times.
